About us

A student by work, a writer by hobby, a spiritual seeker by heart and a learner of astrology I present this website as a medium of communication for those who are in search of an answer to their question related to life through the scientific wisdom of Vedic astrology. My journey into astrology started in childhood with an effort to prove it wrong & unscientific, but as I read and researched, I found that it is not only based on a concrete foundation of mathematics but it also follows definite patterns. And my learning is still on. I don’t see Jyotish as merely future telling but as a science, extremely useful in following three concerns:

  • As a true guide to find the right path for success in life.
  • Studying psychological traits / SWOT Analysis
  • Studying medical aspects as complementary with medical science.

Astrology

“Astrology can be your true guide, friend and mentor if used in the right way”
The term ‘Jyotish’ means the science of light. Jyotish is the traditional Hindu system of astronomy and astrology. It is also known as Indian astrology and Vedic astrology. Unlike many astrological systems such as tarot card reading or palmistry, the Vedic astrology or Jyotish is much more than a means of predicting the future. Since it is totally based on astronomy and mathematics therefore it is very wider in scope. India is well known for its achievements and inventions in mathematics. Hundreds of years ago when the world was living in darkness of ignorance, the Indians were able to accurately calculate and predict the exact timings of eclipses to be happen in the future. And it is a matter of proud for all Indians that even the scientists accept the calculations of Indian astrologers about eclipses, solar system, planetary movements etc.
Vedic astrology consists of three parts:
  1. Siddhant
    Indian astronomy
  2. Sanhita
Mundane astrology, predicting important events related to countries such as war, earthquakes, political events, financial positions, electional astrology, construction matters, animals, weather, omens, and so on
  3. Hora
Predictive astrology in detail So here we can see that individual prediction is only 1/3rd part of Vedic astrology. The Vedic astrology is the study of connection between the microcosm and the macrocosm. It is not confined in the boundaries of any religion, race, caste, creed, colour or country. Any deserving person can learn it and use it.

Status of Astrology

The university grant commission and the ministry of human resource development of the government decided to introduce “Jyotir Vigyan” (i.e. Vedic astrology as a discipline of study in Indian universities, saying that “Vedic astrology is one of the main subjects of our traditional and classical knowledge”.

The decision was backed up by the Andhra Pradesh High Court in 2001. A petition sent to the supreme court of India against it but it refused to intervene in the matter.
In 2004 the supreme court of India dismissed a further petition, concluding that the teaching of astrology did not qualify as the promotion of religion. In February 2011, the Bombay high court referred to the 2004 Supreme Court ruling when it dismissed a case which had challenged astrology’s status as a science.

There are many eminent and respected personalities in different professions like doctors, lawyers, teachers, scientists, researchers, engineers and students who are not only studying vedic astrology but also contributing by doing researches and drawing new conclusions.
